Accessibility statement

We want every visitor to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, a keyboard alone or zoom.

1. Standard

We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2.

2. What we have done

• Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline.
• Text alternatives for every image, and an "Illustrative image" label on non-documentary photos.
• Colour contrast that meets the standard in light and dark mode.
• Motion switched off automatically for visitors who ask their device to reduce it.
• Arabic and English pages, each with the correct text direction.
